The Fez Festival of World Sacred Music has one purpose, which is to leverage the arts and spirituality
in the service of human and social development, and relations between peoples and cultures.
The Fez world sacred music Festival explores the vast repertoire of music and rhythms created across the
world since the dawn of time.
Join us for the 22nd Annual World Sacred Music Festival will take place on 06 to 14 May, 2016 in the Ancient City of Fez, Morocco.

Detailed Itinerary

May 04th: Casablanca – Fez

On your arrival at Casablanca airport you’ll be met by your Driver/Guide who will transfer you directly to your hotel or Riad in Fez. You take time for acclimate and diner at your stay. Then, your Driver guide will take you to Bab Al Makina for the Festival’s Grand Opening.

May 05th: Fez City Tour

You will begin your day with a colorful Mediterranean breakfast buffet, followed by a guided historic tour of Fez, featuring the Mellah, the King’s palace, and a walking tour of the world’s largest and most authentic Medina. A walled city with a maze of twisting alleys and blind turns, the Medina has mosques, shrines, fountains, workshops, and markets that go far beyond the scope of one’s imagination. After lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant, you will spend the remainder of your afternoon exploring and shopping, followed by dinner at your hotel. Evening Festival performance.

May 06th: Fez – Meknes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fez

After breakfast drive to Meknes, the 18th century capital city of Morocco; the spiritual and pilgramage town of Moulay Idriss, and the Roman ruins at the World Heritage Site of Volubilis. Evening Festival performance.

May 07th: Fez

Day at leisure, Evening Festival performance.

May 08th: Fez – Sefrou – Bhalil – Fez

Breakfast, drive to the ancient Jewish city of Sefrou. In Sefrou lived Muslims and Jews in good harmony door to door and practised their religious rituals in unison to the extent that it was difficult to tell what is Islamic and what is Jewish. What is more, they venerated the same Saint buried in a grotto in a neighbouring mountain. The site was tactfully called “Kaf al- moumen” ( the grotto of the faithful) because it was a religious sanctuary for both Muslims and Jews and times of worships in this area were equally divided. May 09th: Fez

Day at leisure, Evening Festival performance.

May 10th: Fez – Moulay Yacoub – Fez

After breakfast drive to the hot springs of Moulay Yacoub. The springs of MoulayYacoub are known for their healing powers. Located in a small, Berber village at the foothills of the Rif Mountains Moulay Yacoub is a relaxing Spa excursion. Return to Fez for afternoon concerts.

May 11th: Fez

Day at leisure, Evening Festival performance.

May 12th: Fez – Chefchaouen – Fez

After an early Breakfast you will drive to Chefchaouen the white and blue mountain village in Rif, characterized by saviour, kind and respectful people. You will enjoy beautiful sightseeing, nice pieces of local manufactures and a peaceful site, quite rare to find nowadays. Evening Festival performance Festival’s closing ceremony.

May 13th: Fez– Casablanca – Home

Day at leisure, Festival’s closing ceremony.

May 14th: Fez– Casablanca – Home

In the morning, you will travel to the Mohamed V Airport for your transatlantic return flight.
