and vibrant public squares to music. This year 19th Edition of the Gnaoua Festival Will take place on the 11,
to the 15 May 2016,join us for this fabulous event.

Detailed Itinerary

May 07th: Marrakech

Upon your arrival at the Menara Airport in Marrakech, you will find your guide waiting to take you to your hotel for check-in. This unique city is located where the desert and mountains meet. Known is the Pearl of the South, it was established in the 11thcentury by the Almoravide Dynasty. You will spend your day visiting sights including the Saadian Tombs, the Dar Si Said Museum, the Menara Gardens, and the city's focal point: the 12th century Koutoubia Minaret. After lunch, you will have an opportunity to visit the souks, a plethora of alleyways with multicolored shops, and the Djemaa El Fna Square, where snake charmers, acrobats, and fortune-tellers put on a never-ending show. You will conclude your day with dinner and accommodations at your hotel.

May 08th: Marrakech - Ouarzazate

Following breakfast, you will start your journey southward to Tinghir via Taddert and the Tizin Tichka Pass, located in the heart of the Atlas mountain chain. Additionally, you will visit the Berber village of Ait Ben Haddou. You will end your day with dinner and other accommodations at your hotel.

May 09th: Ouarzazate - Agdaz - Zagora

After your Breakfast, you will visit the world famous movie studios, and then you will leave to the desert through the Valley of Draa, Leaving the plain behind, the road climbs, twists and turns its way up into the bare dark brown mountains, before breaking through the scarp at the pass of Tizi n'Tinififft. Soon after the pass you catch a first glimpse of the valley and the oases, a green river of palms snaking up into the haze bordered by the Kasbahs , rising as if from the earth where the green gives way to the desert. Further on, passing through Agdz, you will reach Zagora, the most important town of the area, Dinner and accommodations will be provided at your Camp.

May 10th: Zagora - Taroudant

After breakfast you will take the road to the fascinating Medina of Taroudant (the little Marrakech as the locals call it). Founded before the more famous and much bigger Marrakech and similar in its architecture, Taroudant will charm you with its red walls well preserved Medina and laid back hospitable inhabitants. You will conclude your day with dinner and accommodations at your Kasbah.

May 11th: Taroudant - Essaouira

Breakfast will be available in your Kasbah, and you will have the remainder of the morning at your leisure. In the early afternoon, you will travel to the seaside city of Essaouira, where you will check into your hotel. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to explore this former Portuguese colony. The town was once over thirty percent Jewish and contained over thirty synagogues, some dating back to the eighteenth century. You will spend the rest of your day discovering the delights of Essaouira, including the ramparts, and the street of Thuya craftsmen. You will conclude your day with dinner at your hotel. Then your driver guide will take you to Bab Doukalla for the Grend Opening of the Gnaoua Festival.

May 12th: Essaouira

Day at leisure to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean, Evening festival performance.

May 13th: Essaouira

Day at leisure to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean, Evening festival performance.

May 14th: Essaouira - Marrakech

You will eat breakfast at your hotel, after which there will be an optional morning excursion to the Ourika Valley of the High Atlas Mountains. You will return to Marrakech for lunch. In the evening, there will be an optional dinner at Yacout, the finest restaurant in all of Morocco.

May 15th: Marrakech - Home

You will depart from the Marrakech airport for your connecting flight back home.
